Melanie and Justin’s Engagement Session at the Fair

For 17 days in the middle of January every year, the South Florida Fair takes over the fairgrounds in West Palm Beach, Fl. The lights are bright, the rides are fast and the games are plentiful! This year I finally decided to take advantage of the fair being in town, by shooting an engagement session for Melanie and Justin documenting their fun filled night! Wedding Albums by Photos By Chris Martin

This past week, Samantha and Matt came back down to South Florida to photograph a wedding on a cruise ship (those lucky kids!). While they were down they received their wedding albums so I took a few photos of them to show off how they look and a few of the different options that you can choose for your wedding. The albums I offer come with the option of linen or leather covers, they all have lay flat binding, and the pages are virtually seamless so you can have photos span the entire album and not have any creases or lines in them. Day After Bride and Groom Session with Samantha and Matt

Your wedding can be one of the most beautiful, exhilarating, passionate and fun filled days of your life. It can also be extremely stressful and it tends to whiz by so quickly that you almost can’t comprehend what actually happened or even remember specific moments from your day. This is why selecting your photographer is such an important factor of planning your wedding. You need to make sure you find someone who you click with but who also has the experience to know where and when to be and what to look out for to make sure those moments that speed by are captured for you to enjoy for a lifetime. Something that I offer in my wedding packages is a Day After Bride and Groom Session. These sessions are set up for the day after the wedding where we can get together and take photos in a stress free environment as well as being able to take the time to make some really creative and fun images. Sometimes on the wedding day everything is a bit rushed and having an extra few hours without all the family and friends around can lend to some really amazing photos!

I was lucky enough to shoot my first day after session out in Portland, OR with the amazing Samantha and Matt Moore after their wedding. They are a team of amazing wedding photographers as well, so capturing their wedding day and some of the days before and after the wedding were a real treat and a humbling experience for me. Jessica and Paul’s Wedding in Wellington, FL

It has been a wild and busy holiday season, so I have slacked a bit in the blogging department. Happy New Year to everyone who checks out this blog, and I can promise that blogs should be a bit more frequent from here on out!

Let’s get down to the nitty gritty! I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Jessica and Paul Reid on November 12th 2011 in Wellington, FL. It was a gorgeous wedding with the ceremony at St. David’s in the Pines Episcopal Church and the reception right down the street at the Clarion inn. Jessica and Paul’s family and friends really made the most out of this wedding, and were a blast to capture! Everyone had an enormous amount of fun, and even though it was a smaller wedding, the energy was just eminating from the room! Take a look below to view some of the photos from their beautiful day!

Brittany and Leo’s Wedding in Port St. Lucie, FL

On October 22nd, I had the pleasure of photographing the amazing wedding of Brittany and Leo DeLaO. Leo had contacted me because he really enjoyed my style of lighting, and it turned out that we actually had a ton of mutual friends through both playing music for so long! I had a blast shooting at this wedding with my amazing second shooter, Josiah Van Dien, and the best assistant ever, Adrian Rivers. All of the guests had a blast as well (as you will see in some of the photos below)! I typically do not put many reception photos in my blog posts, but this party was so amazing that I had to throw a bit more in than usual. Sara and Joe’s Engagement Session – Hobe Sound, FL

Last week I had an engagement session with the amazing couple, Sara and Joe! They love the Pittsburgh Steelers and wanted to incorporate their dogs, Vader and Lilly into the shoot so our first setup was in a field in Hobe Sound to capture them hanging out and playing with their pups. We then took the dogs back and Sara and Joe had a little picnic close to the beach to enjoy some time and wine together. Joe is a Swat Team Officer in Jupiter and Sara runs a homeschool program, with her alter ego being “Suzy Homemaker” so we played off of that for the final set up with Joe coming through the kitchen as Sara was making dinner to ward off any intruders! They actually had me over for dinner afterwards and I have to say, Sara is an amazing cook! Brittany and Leo’s Engagement Session – Stuart, FL

An Oregon Fairytale – Samantha and Matt’s Wedding Day

Last week I flew out to Portland, Oregon to capture images of the beautiful wedding of Samantha and Matt Moore. The setting was at Miller Farm, 2 hours away from Portland, and a few miles away from Mount Hood which happens to be the highest point in Oregon at 11,249 ft. The farm was set up beautifully for the wedding with the bride and groom staying in a tree house on site, and many friends and family also staying in different homes, and campsites on the grounds.

I was with Sam and Matt for 3 days before the wedding as well as a few days after, so I plan on making multiple posts about my travels and our journey together throughout the week. I wanted to start by putting up a few of my favorite images from the actual wedding so scroll below to see just how beautiful it was!

The funny thing is that Samantha and Matt are both amazing photographers (hence the image of their rings on the Hasselblad) so shooting this wedding was definitely a challenge for me, but I had the most amazing time and learned a lot being with them.
